Project description
VRinSight - Boosting Virtual Reality Learning within Higher Business Management Education
For European SMEs to remain on the competitive edge, the next generation of business graduates will need to be educated on the capabilities of VR technology. The VRinSight project aims to roll-out Virtual Reality learning in Higher Education and in the teaching of Business management across Europe through a partnership from education and industry. The project runs over a 2 year period co-funded by the EU Erasmus plus program.
Through an EU Survey of SMEs & Higher Education Institutes, the VRinSight project aims to understand the challenges involved in introducing VR learning techniques to business management education. The project offers a complete VR integration guide to educators through a unique VR Training Program and accompanying VR Training Curriculum carefully crafted by the expertise of the project partnership, outlining the methods, skills and technologies required. This training curricuum is complemented by a purpose built software application known as the VRinSight VR Classromm. Finally, the VRinsight Project offers a comprehensive Green Paper on Virtual Reality Teaching & Learning giving educators, business and policy makers across Europe an insight on how VR technology can be embraced.
The project partnership consists of 7 partners from 6 EU countries; Germany, Austria, Spain, Finland, Belgium and Cyprus and includes the following partners;
FHM Berlin - University of Applied Science, Germany
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium
Wakeone OY, Finland
Tampere University, Finland
University of Nicosia, Cyprus
Federación Vizcaína de Empresas del Metal, Spain
ENTER GmbH, Austria
